Ku Mobile - Mobile Ku-band Receive only Terminal Demonstrator

Imagine a future car fitted with the latest telecom systems. Innovative services could easily be part of a whole portfolio of information services made available for driver and passengers.

The project is investigating and demonstrating a very cost-effective system for delivery of personal radio and multi-media services to moving vehicles by the use of end-of-life, inclined-orbit, Ku-Band satellites.

The main focus of the project is the management of content delivery, such that signal blocking effects due to the mobility of the user are mitigated, and users appear to receive an uninterrupted stream of personalised radio and multimedia content.

TriaGnoSys is responsible for the design and integration of the landmobile Ku satellite antenna and the accompanying pointing, acquisition and tracking system.
